So if you look in my 'Featured' or 'Photography' Gallery folders, you will notice I took some photos of a lightning storm. It was very good fun sitting on top of a hill on a
desert island taking photos. I actually returned to my unit before the storm got even better, so I decided I'd head out again. Lightning covered the entire sky, and I was too close to capture it well. I also met some backpackers who were in a cave, and after about five minutes of chilling and talking with them, the storm which had been perhaps 8km away was suddenly right on top of us. We were stuck in the cave(s) for about 15 minutes before we decided to risk a run over the crest of the hill (with absolutely no tall objects) and escape the sideways rain.
All in all, it was good fun, and the shots I got weren't even too bad. Youc can check them out by heading into my
'Photography' Gallery folder and as of writing they are the three most recent images.
As for some more sort of housekeeping matters, I'm starting to add watermarks and disable downloads of my images. Sorry! If you send me a note I'd probably be more than happy to give you the original image (eg., for a desktop background), but as my photography becomes more serious, I'm going to start protecting my IP :/
At the same time, I'm thinking of creating a 'Scrapbook' Gallery folder, where I can put every semi-decent image I take, for example more lightning shots and things from around in general. Just don't expect detailed titles and descriptions!
